Level course – English A1.1 – classroom-based

Have a full diary but want to do something about improving your English? Sign up for our level course and take time once a week to work on your speaking skills, vocabulary and grammar. Communication is always the focus.

In this course, the focus is on all forms of communication: you will actively develop your listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and practise using vocabulary, grammar and everyday phrases that match your level.

Additional study: 2 to 3 hours per week

With our classroom-based courses, you and your fellow students enjoy in-person teaching at an Academia school in your region. The timetable remains the same throughout. Your teacher is highly qualified and will ensure that lessons are varied and fun.

Requirements

No prior knowledge of the language is required for A1 courses. For higher-level courses, we expect you to be comfortable with the previous level. Take our placement test to make sure that you are at the right level.

Objectives

A1 – lower elementary

By the end of this level A1 course, you will be able to understand and use familiar everyday phrases and very simple sentences. You will be able to introduce yourself and others, ask other people questions about themselves and answer questions of the same kind. You will be able to interact in simple terms, provided that the other person speaks slowly and clearly and is willing to help.
